General

What is Agently?

Agently is an AI chief of staff. It's built around Jarvis, a single AI agent that plans your work, reasons over your company knowledge, and acts through the tools you connect, like email, calendar, CRM and docs. Needs you keeps a ranked list of everything waiting on you.

Where does it run?

• On the web, at beta.agently.dev. See Getting started on the web.
• On Mac, as an app for Macs with Apple Silicon and macOS 13 or later. Agently for Mac is in early access; request access.

How is Agently different from ChatGPT or other chatbots?

1. It acts, not just advises. Jarvis drafts and sends email, books meetings, updates your CRM and writes pages through your real accounts, via the tools you connect.
2. It knows your business. The Brain holds your documents, synced apps, website and company profile, and answers show their sources.
3. One agent that orchestrates many. Jarvis plans the work and hands heavy parts to specialist sub-agents, and you can teach it repeatable Skills.

What AI models power Jarvis?

Anthropic's Claude. Smart, the default, picks Opus, Sonnet or Haiku for each request, and you can pick a model per chat. With your workspace's own OpenAI key and no Anthropic key, Smart runs on OpenAI models. On Agently Pro, chats in the Mac app can also run on your own Claude or ChatGPT plan.

Can I use Agently for my whole team?

Yes. Invite people in Settings → Team. Everyone shares the workspace's Brain and connections, while mail, calendar and anything set to Just me stay personal. See Workspace Management.

Is my data used to train AI models?

No. Your workspace data is never used to train AI models. See Security & Privacy.

How much does Agently cost?

• Free: $0, 200 starter credits, 3 connected apps, 50 MB of Brain storage.
• Agently Pro: $99 a month, billed monthly, with 3,000 credits a month, 10 connected apps and 10 GB of storage. See Agently Pro, billing and cancelling.

Every plan can use its own Anthropic or OpenAI API key, and paid plans can buy credit packs from $10 for 500 credits. See Credits and your own API key.

Working with Jarvis

Which agent should I use?

Just Jarvis; there's no menu to choose from. Describe what you need and Jarvis handles it, using specialist sub-agents behind the scenes when a task needs it.

Does Jarvis remember previous conversations?

Yes. Jarvis keeps notes across conversations, which you can see and edit in Brain → Memory. Your Jarvis chat, voice and Slack direct messages also share one conversation, so Jarvis knows what you asked earlier.

Can Jarvis act without my permission?

When you ask for something in your own words, in your own chat, Jarvis does it. It asks first before an action you didn't ask for that sends anything to other people, deletes or archives anything, merges code, or uses a custom connector tool that isn't marked read-only. You answer with Allow once, Always allow or Deny. Routines ask before sending unless their creator set them to run unattended, and never delete anything. See Use Jarvis.

Can I talk to Jarvis?

Yes, on Agently Pro: on the web with Talk to Jarvis, and in the Mac app with "Hey, Jarvis" or ⌘⇧Space. See Use Jarvis.

What are Skills?

Reusable playbooks that teach Jarvis to do a job your way. Use the built-ins or write your own, then run them with / in a chat. See Skills.

Brain

What can I add to the Brain?

Documents (PDF, Word, TXT, Markdown), images (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP), web pages or whole sites, and short notes. Notion, Confluence, Dropbox and Coda can sync documents in too, and you can import chosen Google Drive files. See the Brain guide.

How does Jarvis search the Brain?

It matches both keywords and meaning across your saved passages and notes, then shows the sources behind each fact it uses.

Is there a limit to how much I can store?

Yes, set by your plan: 50 MB on Free and 10 GB on Pro.

Integrations

What integrations does Agently support?

Email, calendar, docs, messaging, CRM, project management, support and finance tools, including Outlook, Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack, Notion, HubSpot, Stripe, Jira and Linear. Open Brain → Sources and choose Add integration to see the current list, or add any remote MCP server as a custom connector. See Connect your tools.

Can Jarvis read my Gmail?

Not yet. Gmail is connected for sending only, so Jarvis can send from your address but can't read your Gmail inbox. Outlook mail can be read.

Is it safe to connect my accounts?

Yes. Agently uses OAuth: you approve access on the provider's own screen, Agently never sees your passwords, and you can revoke access any time. See Security & Privacy.

What happens if I disconnect an integration?

Jarvis can no longer use that tool. What you already made stays, and Jarvis tells you if it needs a connection you removed.

Workspace & team

Can someone be in multiple workspaces?

Yes. Each workspace has its own Brain, connections, billing and team.

What's the difference between Owner, Admin, and Member?

• Owner, everything, including billing and deleting the workspace.
• Admin, manage the workspace, members and its own API keys; no billing.
• Member, use every feature; no workspace management.

Billing

How do credits work?

Credits pay for AI work Agently runs for you: chats on Smart or an Agently model, routines, work cards, Slack, spoken requests and reply drafts. Runs on your own API key, and chats on your own Claude or ChatGPT plan, use no credits. See Credits and your own API key.

What happens when I run out of credits?

Work that uses credits stops until you add more. The owner can buy credits in Settings → Billing, or an owner or admin can add your own API key in Settings → Models.

Can I upgrade, downgrade or cancel?

The owner chooses manage in Settings → Billing, and Stripe opens. When you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.

Troubleshooting

Jarvis isn't using my connected integration

• Check it's still connected in Brain → Sources, and reconnect it if it asks.
• Name the tool: "Send this from Outlook" or "Check my Google Calendar."

Responses seem generic and don't know my business

• Add more to the Brain: company info, product details, brand guidelines.
• Check your company profile in Brain → Company.

A shared page link isn't working

• Check that the public link is still on for that page.
• If the page has a gate, visitors complete it first.

I can't find a workspace I was invited to

• Sign in with the email the invitation was sent to, and open the invitation link again.
• Ask the owner or an admin whether your access changed.
