Connect your tools

Connecting a tool lets Jarvis read from it and act in it for you, and lets Needs you find what is waiting on you there.

Connect a tool

  1. Open Brain and go to Sources.
  2. Choose Add integration and pick the tool.
  3. Approve access on the tool's own sign-in screen. Agently never sees your password.

New members can also connect tools in the welcome's Where does your work happen? step. See Getting started on the web.

Personal and shared connections

  • Personal. Outlook, Gmail, Google Calendar, Superhuman and LinkedIn always belong to the person who connected them. Jarvis uses them only for that person. Each teammate connects their own.
  • Shared. Other tools, such as Notion, HubSpot or Linear, are connected for the workspace.

What each kind of tool does

  • Notion, Confluence, Dropbox and Coda sync the documents you choose into the Brain in the background.
  • Google Drive. Choose the files to share with Agently in the Drive picker. Those files are imported; the rest of your Drive is not.
  • Everything else is used live: Jarvis reads and acts in the tool when a task needs it.
  • Gmail is connected for sending only. Jarvis can send email from your address, but it does not read your Gmail inbox. Before you connect, Agently asks you to agree to how it uses Gmail; choose Agree & Connect.
  • Websites. Add any website as a source, and Jarvis keeps its pages in the Brain, checking for changes on your plan's schedule. The company website you set in Brain → Company is the official one.

Custom connectors

Add any remote MCP server: in Brain → Sources, choose Add connector, enter a Name and Server URL, and pick Sign in (OAuth) or API key header. Turn on Share with workspace to let teammates use it. Custom connectors don't count toward your connected-app limit.

Connected-app limits

Your plan sets how many tools you can connect. Each tool counts once, however many teammates connect their own account to it.

At the limit you see "Your plan supports N connected integrations." Disconnect a tool you don't use, or move up a tier.

Troubleshooting

  • A tool says it needs reconnecting. Its sign-in expired or was revoked. Reconnect it in Brain → Sources.
  • Jarvis isn't using a tool. Check it is still connected, then name it in your request: "Check my Google Calendar."
  • A teammate can't see my mail. That is on purpose. Mail and calendar connections are personal.
  • A tool I need isn't listed. Add it as a custom connector if it has an MCP server, or ask us in Get help.
