Getting started on the web
Agently on the web is at beta.agently.dev. It opens workspaces that have an active AppSumo license. If you haven't activated yours yet, start with AppSumo: activate your code.
The welcome
The first time you open a licensed workspace in your browser, a short welcome sets it up. Every step has Skip for now, and Skip setup at the bottom right skips the rest. You see it once.
- Start with your website. Owners and admins enter the company website and name. Jarvis reads the site so it knows what you sell and who you sell to before it touches your tools. It takes about a minute, and it keeps itself current after that.
- Where does your work happen? Connect the tools you use, such as Outlook, Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack, Notion, Linear, Jira and HubSpot. Email and calendar matter most, because that is where most of what needs you starts. Each tile uses the same connect flow as the Brain. You can add more later. Members who aren't owners or admins see only this step.
- Here is what I learned. If you gave a website, you watch Jarvis read it and see what it found, including people. Anything wrong? Change it in Brain → Company, and Jarvis uses your version from then on. You can carry on while it reads; it finishes without you.
Then choose Go to your Canvas.
After the welcome
- Work opens on your Canvas. Needs you on the Canvas lists what is waiting on you. See Needs you.
- Site health on the Canvas audits your company website every day: speed, accessibility, SEO and the basics.
- New task (⌘N) starts a chat with Jarvis. Describe what you need in plain language.
- Routines run standing work on a schedule. See Routines.
- Brain holds your company knowledge, your connections (Sources) and your company profile (Company). See Connect your tools.
- Pages holds documents, live pages, code and files.
- Settings → Team is where you invite teammates, up to your tier's seats.
- Settings → Models is where you add your own API key. On Tier 2 and up, owners and admins are asked once, on their Canvas, to add a Claude or OpenAI key. See Credits and your own API key.
Web and Mac
The same account and workspace work in a browser and in the Mac app. The Mac app is in early access and adds things a browser can't do, such as "Hey, Jarvis", Jarvis in the notch, chats on your own Claude or ChatGPT plan and Jarvis working in your Mac's apps. See Install Agently for Mac.
Troubleshooting
- The welcome didn't appear. It shows once per person, only in a browser, and only for a licensed workspace. Set your website later in Brain → Company and connect tools in Brain → Sources.
- "We could not read your site." Check the address in Brain → Company, or describe your company there yourself.
- "That does not look like a website address." Enter it like yourcompany.com.
- The workspace doesn't open in the browser. See AppSumo: activate your code.
