Known issues

These are the issues we know about right now, with what to do in the meantime.

Current issues

  • Links in a browser ask you to sign in or activate. Links to app pages, such as those in emails and Slack, open in your browser. They open the page when your workspace has an AppSumo license. Otherwise you see "Activate Agently to get started"; open the link's workspace in the Mac app instead.
  • Pages forget their own saved state. Live pages that save data for themselves start fresh when you reload them.
  • YouTube videos inside pages may not play.
  • Gmail is send-only. Jarvis can send from Gmail but can't read your Gmail inbox, so Gmail mail doesn't appear in Needs you. Outlook mail does.

Limits on the web

  • Agently opens in a browser only for workspaces with an active AppSumo license.
  • Voice in a browser starts with Talk to Jarvis; there is no "Hey, Jarvis" and no notch.
  • Chats on your own Claude or ChatGPT plan, and Jarvis working in your Mac's apps, need the Mac app.

Limits of the Mac app

  • Agently for Mac is in early access, and needs a Mac with Apple Silicon and macOS 13 or later. Intel Macs aren't supported.
  • Clicking and typing in other apps needs macOS 15 or later. On macOS 13 and 14, the rest of Jarvis works.
  • Jarvis asks before every script it writes, and before any shell command except a few read-only ones (such as ls, pwd, which, date, df and uptime), and only with Allow scripts and commands on. It never reads credential folders or .env files.
  • Native notifications arrive only while Agently is running.
  • Agently can't wake a sleeping Mac. Background work keeps running on Agently's servers.
  • "Hey, Jarvis" works in English (US) only.

Everywhere

  • Jarvis works on two of your voice or Slack requests at a time.
