AppSumo

AppSumo: activate your code

Your AppSumo license opens Agently in your browser at beta.agently.dev, for one workspace and everyone in it.

Activate

  1. Start on AppSumo. Open your AppSumo purchases, find Agently and choose Activate. AppSumo sends you to Agently.
  2. Sign in, or create an account. Use your email code or Google. Your activation waits while you sign in, and once you are signed in it waits for that account for 7 days, in any tab or in the Mac app.
  3. Choose the workspace. Pick a workspace you own, or choose A new workspace and give it a name.
  4. Choose Activate in this workspace (or Create workspace and activate). The workspace gets your tier's credits and limits and opens on the web.

After that, the web welcome walks you through your website and tools. See Getting started on the web.

Which workspace to pick

  • One license, one workspace. Each license applies to one workspace. It can't be split across workspaces.
  • It must be a workspace you own. If you are only a member of someone else's workspace, choose A new workspace.
  • A workspace on a paid Agently subscription can't take a license. Use a free workspace or a new one.
  • A workspace that already has an AppSumo license can't take a second one. Change its tier on AppSumo instead (see below).
  • Your team must fit the tier. A license is refused on a workspace with more members than the tier's seats. Remove members first, activate into another workspace, or pick a higher tier. See AppSumo tiers, credits and limits.

Your whole team

Everyone who is a member of the licensed workspace can open it on the web, not just the buyer. Invite people in Settings → Team, up to your tier's seats. Pending invitations count toward the seats.

More than one code, upgrades and refunds

  • Codes don't stack on one workspace. A workspace holds one license. To use a second license, activate it into a different workspace.
  • Upgrading or downgrading. Change your tier on AppSumo. Agently picks up the new tier on the same workspace. Your credits move by the difference between the two tiers' included credits. Credits you already spent and credits you bought stay as they are.
  • Refunds are handled by AppSumo under its own policy. See our refund policy. A refund deactivates the license, and the workspace stops opening on the web. Its content and members stay.

Troubleshooting

  • "Activate Agently to get started" after you sign in. None of your workspaces has an active AppSumo license yet. Choose Activate on AppSumo, then Activate on your Agently purchase.
  • My workspace doesn't open on the web, but a teammate's does. Only workspaces with an active AppSumo license open in a browser. Check that you are signed in with the account that is a member of the licensed workspace. The email you are signed in with shows at the bottom of the page; choose sign out to switch.
  • "Activation expired." The link from AppSumo lasts an hour until you sign in. Choose Activate on your Agently purchase in AppSumo again.
  • "AppSumo has not confirmed this license yet." Wait a minute and try again.
  • "This AppSumo license was deactivated (refunded or replaced)." Activate your current license from AppSumo. After an upgrade, AppSumo gives you a new license that replaces the old one.
  • "This license is already active on …". If it names your workspace, that workspace is already licensed: open it. If it names a workspace owned by another account (shown as a masked email), sign in with that account, or write to support@agently.dev with your AppSumo license.
  • "This activation was started from another Agently account." Sign in with that account, or choose Activate in AppSumo again.
  • "This workspace has N members, more than the seats … includes." Remove members, activate into another workspace, or write to support.
  • You chose Continue without activating. Open your AppSumo purchases and choose Activate again when you are ready.
  • I activated into the wrong workspace. You can't move a license yourself. Write to support@agently.dev and we will move it.
  • I can't delete my workspace. A workspace that holds your AppSumo license can't be deleted in the app. Write to support@agently.dev and we will move the license or close the workspace for you.
